BUNGA TELUR

Today, I will tell you guys about “Tourism product” for handicraft which is Bunga Telur.
Based on what I already find, bunga telur is literally translated as “Flower egg”. The giving of bunga telur was actually originally a throwback to the Hindu culture which influenced the cultures in Southeast Asia.
Surprisingly at indian weddings, the originator of the practice, it is not eggs that are given out anymore. Those guest at an Indian wedding will receive sweets reflecting and reaffirming the sweetness of the occasion.
Bunga telur is a wedding token that is given out to guest who do the renjis-renjis on the wedding couple.
By giving away eggs , it was hoped that the newly wed couple will also blessed with fertility and thus have their own children in the future. The bunga telur is a plastic flower with a hard boiled egg attached to it in a net. It could take up to 4 hours to boil the batches for the perfect bunga telur. Bunga telur is not only gift of a malay wedding . It is also distributed to celebrate the birth of a new baby, circumcision and engagement. But nowadays, some of the wedding ceremony don’t have a bunga telur on their wedding because when they prepare a large quantity of egg , some of egg shells broke and more eggs had to be boiled to compensate for the broken ones.

For the conclusion, As the new generations we should continue to preserved this bunga telur in wedding especially malay wedding so that our culture giving of bunga telur  in wedding will be continue and not faded through time.
